With the increasing threat of cyber crime around the world, the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) was created in 2004 to protect cardholder information, reduce data theft and enforce security requirements for all entities involved with credit card processing. The PCI DSS was created by the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards Council consisting of Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.

Each year businesses lose billions of dollars due to credit card fraud resulting in merchants being fined for data breaches. As a result, the Council requires that all merchants be PCI Compliant or inherit the risk of being fined and/or have their merchant account terminated. With a number of states passing PCI compliant-like legislation, PCI compliance and certification is unavoidable.

With PCI certification constantly evolving with new requirements and regulations, the compliance process can be frustrating and confusing. By partnering with SecurityMetrics, Athos International will assist you to comprehend and meet the requirements needed to be PCI compliant and maintain validation.

To begin the PCI certification process, complete this Enrollment Form so that a representative can start helping you with the Self Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) and system scanning process (if required).
